The Chairwoman of the platform, Rosario Velasco, opened the session by thanking the COMPANY in its reception. In his speech, highlighted the main activities and teachings in regard to CEIDEN, obtained from the activities carried out recent during his trip to Australia and his participation in the V symposium of the organization ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting).

Throughout the meeting, the Secretary-General, Paul T. Leon (ENDESA), informed of the situation of the main actions carried out from the General Assembly.

Also, there were various presentations on topics of interest: by ENUSA (José Manuel Alonso), on the new approach of the group of fuel, with emphasis on the activities around the fuel tolerant to the accident (ATF, for its acronym in English); for part of the Forum of Nuclear Industry (Pilar Sánchez), on the launch of the joint group training, and knowledge management; and on the part of the CSN, the head of the Unit of Research and Knowledge Management, Carlos Castelao, presented the current status and the future prospects of the working group on degradation of materials. Later, Enrique Cortegoso (CSN-CEIDEN) presented the developments in the field of communication and dissemination, as well as the developments in the web of the platform.

The most novel feature of the meeting was the presentation by the CIEMAT (Luis Enrique Herranz) of the activities of the european association NUGENIA, in which CEIDEN just entered as an honorary member.

It is noted that in the meeting was attended by three representatives of EPRI (Electrical Power Research Institute).

The day was completed with a technical visit to the facilities of the COMPANY, conducted by the center’s director, Eva Noguero. From CEIDEN, we would like to thank the entity the possibility of being able to celebrate the meeting in their facilities and for the fantastic visit to the same.
