On the 1st of February was held at the headquarters of ENUSA meeting of the 34th Council Manager CEIDEN, where he participated Nucleonova.

The Council Manager was chaired for the last time by the President, Doña Rosario Velasco, at the end of the meeting gave the baton of the presidency to Don Javier Dies, the new President of CEIDEN and current advisor to the CSN.

As usual, in the course of the meeting have been exposed the news of the main plans and ongoing projects, as well as in regard to the european programmes, the european platforms SNETP and NUGENIA, material Group and the project Jules Horowitz Reactor (JHR).

It has also highlighted the start of a new project, to investigate about the future fuels (ATF), with the aim of reducing the accident rate, which will result in a significant improvement of the levels of safety of nuclear power plants.

Nucleonova, current representative of the SMES, expressed interest in the group’s participation in this new development.

The Technological Platform CEIDEN was created in the year 2007, however its antecedent is situated at the end of 1999, the date on which the Ministry of Industry and Energy Committee created Strategic R & D on Nuclear power. Its main objective is to coordinate the various plans and programs of national R+D+i, as well as, the Spanish participation in international programs.
