Nucleonova takes participation in the Webinar on current and future projects in Brazil in the nuclear sector.
The ICEX, in collaboration with the Business Office in Brasilia, Nuclear Forum, the Ministry of Mines and Energy of brazil, and the companies Eletronuclear and ENBPar, has organized a webinar on the opportunities in the nuclear sector in Brazil, such as the project Angra III and the strategy for the future of this sector in the country in which you are requesting the extension of life of Angra I with an additional 20 years.
At present, Brazil has a power grid with a high weight of the hydraulic energy (about 60% of the total). Forecasts for the coming years is to increase the diversification of this array, passing the nuclear power to play a major role. In the short-term is provided for the implementation of the recent civil works and electro-mechanical installation of the nuclear power plant Angra III (the start of commercial operations is expected between 2026 and 2027, which will be the third nuclear power plant in the country). In the medium and long term, Brazil should proceed to the extension of the useful life of the plant Angra I until 2044.
During this day, in addition to offering an overview of the sector and of the plans of the brazilian administration in this field, has opened up a discussion in which Nucleonova has had the opportunity to show as a strategic partner for the Management of Obsolescence, both in the project of extension of the useful life of the plant Angra I until 2044, as in the construction of Angra III.
